Amartya Saikia is an AI Engineer with a passion for building critical data flow pipelines and automated solutions for problems. He is currently employed as an AI Software Engineer, Cognitive Compute and AI at LSBG, where he is part of the team building software infrastructure for smart cities. Amartya's tech stack involves Python, PyTorch, Kafka, Spark Stream, and C++. He is comfortable learning and deploying solutions at scale. Amartya's research focus is on Deep Reinforcement Learning and Computer Vision. He has experience in Distributed Machine Learning with Kafka and Spark Stream, Exploratory Data Analysis, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning with geo problems. Prior to his current position, Amartya worked as a Remote Sensing and Machine Learning Engineer at the National Remote Sensing Centre, where he worked on ground subsidence and climate pattern mapping with Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) using SNAP, Python, and Google Earth Engine. He also worked as an Artificial Intelligence Engineer at the Digital Product School by Unternehmertum, where he was honored with dual track certification (AI and SE). Amartya holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B. Eng) First Class with Honors in Computer Science and Engineering from Assam Engineering College, as well as a High School degree in Science and Mathematics from the Central Board of Secondary Education. He also completed a Visiting Undergraduate Student - Summer Session in Computer Science at Stanford University.
